A Mother in Law Poem
-
MOTHER IN
LAW STORIES
The
Prince, The Princess & The Mother-In-Law
- It could
have been a marriage made in heaven if not for the Mama.
- There
once was a Prince who sat on a gold throne,
- With
his Princess beside him, he was not alone.
- Next
to her sat an ancient old toad,
- One
that Prince wanted to kick to the road.
-
- The
old toad had a name, she was called Mama,
- She
had hair of silver, and the nostrils of a llama.
- Castle
life was miserable with Mama around,
- For
she was always tearing the good Prince down.
-
- Princess
loved Mama and took heart in her words,
- She
was a wise old owl, a tough old bird.
- Prince
loved his Princess, but not her Mama,
- Who
had hair of silver and the nostrils of a llama.
-
- One
day a magician passed through the kingdom,
- Prince
paid him handsomely, a nice fat sum,
- For
making Mama vanish from the castle,
- Prince
was glad, gone was his hassle.
-
- Princess
was sad, wanted her Mama back,
- Protested
by dressing in ashes and a sack.
- She
now looked familiar to the Prince,
- Just
like her Mama, he recompensed.
-
- Time
passed and Princess continued to whine,
- Morning,
noon and night when the moon shined.
- Prince
decided that one can't run from Mama,
- For
a daughter is just a Mama with a comma.
Ruptured
- There
he stood
like a battered
chicken
leg in front
of Mother
- salted,
peppered,
wingless,
ruptured.....
