Many years ago a
mother-in-law-to-be laid a nice fat egg and sat
on it until it hatched. She named her newly
hatched offspring 'Wally'.
By and by, Wally
grew into a good egg.
He liked the way
Cindy looked, he liked the way Cindy smelled and
he liked the way that Cindy kissed. Wally
liked Cindy a lot. But mother did not.
Wally's mother made
married life as miserable as possible for Cindy.
Whenever Cindy and Wally had something special
planned, mother showed up on the front door step
with Wally's baby album. And so the three
of them sat thumbing through all 1,001 photos of
baby Wally and his mother. Mother was especially
fond of the breast-feeding photo, even though Wally
protested each and every time his mother whipped
it out.
Cindy felt unhappy.
She had married Wally, not his breast-feeding
mother! She felt trapped, doomed to view Wally's
baby album for the next several decades to come.
Unfortunately, mother was from a long-lived
line.
And then Cindy had
a marvelous idea! Since mother seemed to like
babies so much, Cindy decided that she and Wally
would surprise her with one. They had both
wanted a family, and so things worked out nicely.
These days, mother
still visits Wally and Cindy only now she watches
over Wally Jr., a boisterous six-month old with
an overactive pooper while Cindy and Wally paint
the town.
As for the photo
album, well there's a new album these days. Cindy
never knew how much she'd enjoy breast feeding.
