MOTHER-IN-LAW PROBLEMS vs SOLUTIONS
Thanksgiving &
The In-laws
Is your Thanksgiving a mixed blessing? Do
you and your lover often fret over where you should spend the holidays?
Here are a few tips that just might help...
If you are one of the fortunate couples to have at least
one set of friendly, comfy in-laws, then that's reason enough to celebrate!
On the other hand, if you are one of the poor unfortunates who
have in-laws with demonic qualities....pity. There's nothing quite as
miserable as having to spend the holidays locked in the company of those who
really don't like you. Especially on one of the few day's off that you
get during the year.

So...what's a couple to do? Well, if you are Lucky Couple
#1, then enjoy the holiday with the in-laws! If you are Couple #2 (and
we all know what the number two stands for) (lucky you), then you've got some
huge decisions to make as the holidays are bearing heavily down on us! They
will be here and gone before you know it, trust me on this.
If you decide that your holiday will be spent in total agony
at the in-laws, then consider spending the day as a couple. If that's
not possible, then when you are with the in-laws, make the day as stress free
as possible. (I know.) This is how you can accomplish that:
- arrive with a small gift in hand (nothing large; a couple
of kitchen towels from the dollar store will do the trick) This will start
the day off on a positive note.
- offer a hug to your mother-in-law and a handshake to your
father-in-law (do not blow your nose or cough into your hand before performing
these sweet gestures).
